With their upcoming album UNSERE ELTERN im Schaufenster, they explore the dissolution of hierarchies between voice, percussion, and abstract sound. The voice shifts from expressive presence to instrumental texture, gradually distorting and merging with the drums.
The project moves between noise grooves and futuristic pop, shaped by strong dynamic contrasts, physical immediacy, and rhythmic clarity. Working through free improvisation and real-time interaction, UNSERE ELTERN create focused, intense performances without predefined structures.
The title UNSERE ELTERN im Schaufenster reflects the duo’s growth as young musicians making music that is deliberately non-commercial, both in process and in outcome. The “shop window” becomes a metaphor: they place themselves and their music on display, open to being seen and heard, yet without offering more than observation or passing by. It is an act of exposure without compromise.
Recorded during a freely improvised live session on August 3, 2024, in Lucerne, the album captures a raw moment between control and instability.
